Careno Construction Company has completed multiple projects at the 1827 Sheafe House in historic downtown Portsmouth, NH. The projects have consisted of heavy structural repairs to aging and damaged roof purlins, columns and beams. Also included were historic masonry repairs and the full replacement of the intricate brick crown dental and molding work. The parapet walls, chimneys and interior walls were also re-pointed. The original slate roof and roof deck were also replaced as well as the historic ornamental railings were also crafted to match the existing. Careno has also completely gutted and upgraded the condos in the building with the finest mill work including custom wainscot, trim, molding and wide pine floors as well as electrical and mechanical upgrades.
