Careno Construction was hired to provide structural engineering to shore and raise an existing building in busy downtown Portsmouth during the summer months. Work included structurally shoring Congress Street from collapsing and adding new foundation shoring to a four-story occupied building. Concrete forms were placed from outside the building and from within the basement. All construction work was performed while the City sidewalks were kept open.
